The book Jejak Austronesia Di Indonesia written by colleagues and "students", is published as a token of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Truman Simanjuntak who has entered his retirement period. Prof. Dr. Truman Simanjuntak is one of the figures who has been known as a pioneer who popularized research on Austronesian in Indonesia. Austronesian research so far is expected not only to have important value from an academic point of view, but also to be an inspiration as well as useful for national life.
Research on Austronesian is expected to play a role in educating the nation through cultural values and the development of national culture, and can always reveal the noble values of the nation's cultural roots which are proven to strengthen the unity of the nation.
